At the 29th regular meeting of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA), which has been held every two months and of which STAR has been a full member for over two years, Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak, Chair of the STAR Internationalization Committee, delivered an online presentation on behalf of STAR on 19 November 2025, following an official invitation. The meeting, organized by CEENQA, addressed the current activities of the participating institutions as well as recent developments in the field of quality assurance.

The meeting began with a brief activity report by the CEENQA Executive Board, after which Liia Lauri from the Estonian Quality Agency for Higher Education (HAKA) delivered a presentation titled “Shaping the Future of Quality Assurance: Lessons from Estonia’s New Institutional Accreditation Model.” In addition, Tina Pareulidze from the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia (NCEQE) shared her experiences gained within the framework of the CEENQA staff mobility programme.

On behalf of STAR, Prof. Dr. Bıçak presented an overview of the International Online ESG Conference organized by STAR on 17 October 2025. This online conference, entitled “ESG: Re-evaluating ESG for Greater Coherence and Transparency,” brought together more than 250 participants from different continents and focused on the currency, applicability, and impact of ESG (European Standards and Guidelines) on quality assurance processes in higher education. Prof. Dr. Bıçak emphasized that such events, organized within the framework of STAR’s internationalization vision, make significant contributions to the field of quality assurance. Current statistical data regarding STAR’s accreditation services were also shared with the participants. This event was also featured on the CEENQA website.

The programme concluded with a joint evaluation and discussion session carried out with the contributions of the participating institutions.
