STAR Takes International Collaboration Step

28.11.2025

Preparations for the Staff Exchange with FIBAA Have Been Completed.

STAR Accreditation has completed its preliminary preparations for the experience-sharing process to be carried out with agencies such as FIBAA in particular, as well as MAB and TKTA, within the scope of efforts to strengthen cooperation with international quality assurance organizations. In this context, the scope and preparatory framework of the “Staff Exchange” meeting, planned to be held online (via Zoom) in December 2025, have been clarified.

In the preparation plan, the following areas came to the fore: the comparison of programme evaluation criteria and process flows, the discussion of evaluation practices through examples of good practice, alignment/mapping studies in line with ESG Parts 1–2–3, and the further systematization of the presentation and documentation structure. Through this meeting, it is aimed to establish a comparative framework that will support mutual learning among the agencies and to make the cooperation sustainable through regular engagement.

In order to serve as a preparatory step for these activities, STAR participated with a team of nine in the session titled “Writing an Effective SER (Self-Evaluation Report): How to Apply the FIBAA Guidelines?” held as part of FIBAA’s “Quality Lab” event on 24 November 2025. In this session, emphasis was placed on supporting documents among higher education institutions, coordination in the writing of self-evaluation reports, consideration of the current status of programmes at the time of evaluation, the importance of concrete statistical data, and consistency between tables and textual content. It is expected that the observations made and the approach examples acquired will contribute to the content and presentation preparations of the Staff Exchange meeting to be held in December.
